When choosing to have a design focus for his BFA, James decided on the major to form a deeper understanding in an artistic field he had little knowledge of. Building up a completely new skill set, while deepening his appreciation of the artistic world. Within his architecture and interior projects, he aimed to create spaces that were themed in an experimental fine arts interpretation of design. This was to break the barriers between art and design.
